Vaughn E. Richardson, 77, of North Ligonier Street, Derry, died Sunday, Jan. 28,
1996, at home. He was born Oct 15, 1918, in Derry, a son of the late Russell K.
and Bertha (Forsha) Richardson. He was a member of Derry Presbyterian Church,
where he formerly served as a deacon and an elder. He was a veteran of World War
II, serving in the U.S. Army. He and his wife formerly owned and operated the
Yolanda Shoppe in Derry. He was a member of the Derry American Legion Post 324,
the Latrobe BPOE Lodge 907, the Derry Business and Professional Association and
the Steelworker Retirees Club of Local 1537, Latrobe. He Is survived by his wife
of 53 years, Yolanda Santareill Richardson; a daughter, Denise R. Martin of
Derry; a son, Douglas V. (and his wife, Ruthie Parrish) Richardson of Derry; a
brother, Marion, of Gibsonia; a granddaughter, Nicole E. Richardson, and a
grandson, Cory S. Martin; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be
received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in McCabe
Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Ave., Derry. Funeral service will be conducted at 1
p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Graft officiating.
Interment will follow in Coles Cemetery, Derry Township. Derry American Legion
Post 324 will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
