The Ligonier Echo Wed, Jan 12, 1910 
Mrs. Barbara Roberts departed this life Jan. 5, 1910, aged 80 years, 11 months
and 8 days. Mother Roberts buried her husband a little over one year ago. Since
that time her home has been with her son, John R., in Ligonier township. The
deceased and connection are long livers, her husband, having passed his 75th
milestone. Her brother, Benj. Deeds, of Ligonier township, is now in his 83rd
year. She is survived by three sons: Frank, of Ligonier; John, of Ligonier
township, and Wilbert, of the old homstead three miles south of Ligonier and her
daughter, Miss Mary, who makes her home with her brother Wilbert. On Friday at 1
o'clock p. m. the funeral took place at the home of her son John, after which
her remains were laid to rest in Zion church cemetery. Mother Roberts had been a
faithful member of the United Evangelical church. The funeral was conducted by
her pastor, Rev. S. M. Cousins.
