 Presbyterian banner. (Pittsburgh, Pa.): September 14, 1864
Died in Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County,. Pa., on the 18th of July, 1864,
Mrs. Jane, wife of Mr. Thomas Robertson, in the 81st year of her age. The deceased
was a daughter of Mr. Hugh Mitchel, of South Huntingdon Twp. She was married to Mr.
Robertson, August 27th, 1807, with whom she was permitted to live during the unusual
period of nearly fifty seven years. About the year 1823 she professed her faith in
Christ and was received as a member of the Sewickley Presbyterian church, then under
the pastoral care of Rev. A. O. Patterson. In the year 1851 she transferred her
connection to the West Newton Presbyterian church, in which she lived a consistent
and honored member up till the time of her death… She leaves her aged husband, six
sons and one daughter to mourn their loss…
