Latrobe Bulletin Mon, Jul 26, 1965
Charles Harry Ross, 77, 109 Sixth Ave., Derry, died Saturday at the Latrobe
Hospital. Born Sept. 20, 1887, in Derry. Son of late Harry H. Ross and Alberta
James Ross. Was machinist on the Pennsylvania Railroad retiring in 1958.
Preceded in death by sister, Mrs. Anabelle McMannis. July 4. Surviving wife,
Essie M.; daughter, Mrs. Fred (Rita) Stiffler, Derry; sons, James Eugene, Derry;
Arthur C., Blairsville; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also one
sister, Mrs. Nellie Weller, Latrobe. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and
7 to 9 p.m. at Clayton E. Linsley Funeral Home, 310 S. Chestnut St., Derry.
Services will be held there at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. George A. Marks in
charge. Interment Coles Cemetery.
