On Saturday morning last, at St. John's Convent, Altoona, Sister M. Fields died after a lingering illness, in the 27th year of her age. The deceased had been a member of the Sisters of Charity for six years, three of these she spent in the Mission in Greensburg, returning to Altoona some eight weeks ago. In the world the deceased was known as Annie Ruffner, the home of her parents being in Derry township, Westmoreland Co., Pa. She leaves a mother three sisters and two brothers. One of her brothers lives at Braddock and one of her sisters is a member of the Sisters of Charity in St. John's convent, Altoona. The funeral took place Monday morning at Altoona.
