Latrobe Bulletin Wed, Jul 30, 1986
Clyde W. Rupert Jr., 62, of Lincoln, Neb., died Monday, July 28, 1986, in
Veterans Hospital, Omaha, Neb. He was born Sept. 18, 1923, in Latrobe, the son
of the late Clyde and Myrtle Johnston Rupert. A former employee of Rockwell
International in Los Angeles, Calif., for 32 years, he was a U. S. Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty
Lester. He is survived by his wife, Jane Eckel Rupert; two sons, Thomas, of
Snowmass, Colo., and Richard, of Des Moines, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Jackie
Kightlinger, Mrs. Marsha Gotchall and Mrs. Michael (Peggy) Levy, all of Lincoln;
11 grandchildren; two brothers, Walter C. and Robert K., both of Latrobe; four
sisters: Mrs. Sarah Jane Crawford of Derry, Mrs. Everett (Mary Alice) Sanger of
Anaheim, Calif., Mrs. Louis (Nancy) Bilby of Bell Gardens, Calif., and Mrs.
Harold (Shirley) Piper of Latrobe, and several nieces and nephews. Burial will
take place Thursday, July 31, in Lincoln. A memorial service will be held at 10
a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe, for
relatives and friends of the family.
