Saxman, the wife of M. Saxman, at 2:30 o'clock, this morning, the end occurring at Pleasant Home which for fifteen years she had graced, as a loyal wife, an ever welcoming hostess and an ever-ready listener to the appeal of those in need. Though her condition had been such as to occasion great anxiety since the time she was taken ill with grippe, some months ago, her death came suddenly. Yesterday afternoon she had appeared to be resting comfortably, and at 11 o'clock last night she seemed quite cheerful. A sinking spell was suffered, however, and the efforts of her physician to effect a rally in her strength proved unavailing, she having breathed her last in the early hours of the morning. A native of New Jersey, Mrs. Saxman, whose maiden name was Kittinger, was united in marriage to M. Saxman, fifteen years ago, the wedding taking place in Washington, D. C. She is survived by Mr. Saxman, by Mrs. Josiah Shaw, nee Miss Emily Wilson, of Washington, D. C., and by the following sons and daughters at M. Saxman: Mrs. J. W. Hartman of Latrobe; Edwin F. Saxman, of Villa Nova; Marcus W. Saxman, of Latrobe; Mrs. F. S. Parsons, of Dorchester, Mass.: Charles Saxman, of Arizona; Mrs. John Brown, of La Grange Ill.; Mrs. George D. Rise, of Latrobe; Earl Saxman, of Latrobe and Mrs Earnest Cunningham, of Philadelphia. From the time that she came to Latrobe to live, Mrs. Saxman took an active part in the social life of the community, while her interest in charitable undertaking was boundless. She numbered as her friends all those who came within the radius of her kindly ways and her generous impulses. The funeral services will be held at the family residence at two o'clock, Friday afternoon, June seventh, the Rev. George C. Fisher, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, being in charge. The interment will be made in Unity cemetery.
