Ronald J. Schmucker Sr., 76, of Latrobe passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017,
at his residence. Born Oct. 23, 1940, in Latrobe, he was a son of the late
Joseph E. and Lorraine M. (Strumsky) Schmucker. Ron was a member of St. Vincent
Basilica Parish. He retired from Teledyne Vasco with 43 years of service and was
a member of the Frontier Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by his sister and stepson. Ron is survived by his wife of 23 years, Nora
D. Eller Schmucker; his son; step-daughter; several grandchildren, and many
friends. Family and friends were received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in John
J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral Liturgy was
held 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment followed in Unity Cemetery,
Unity Township.
