Selesky, 87, of Greensburg passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. Born July 28, 1925, in Unity Township, he was a son of the late Leo H. and Goldie (Piper) Selesky. Retired from Latrobe Steel, he was an active member of the Latrobe First Church of God for more than 60 years along with his wife, Nancy. They were also members of Fort Allen Antique Owners Association. Leo was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy P. Browm Selesky, on Dec. 8, 2012, and a sister, Evelyn Gardner. He is survived by his daughter Sheryl Abbott and her husband, Mark; son, Roy Selesky and his wife, Cathy; daughter Lori McAndrew and her husband, Brian; five grandsons, Richard Auman and his wife, Julie, Nathan Auman and his wife, Melanie, Luke Selesky, Daniel McAndrew, Michael McAndrew and his wife, Shelby; four great- grandchildren, Nicholas Leo Auman, Joshua Auman, Lia Auman and Noah Auman; two sisters, Violet McIlnay, Betty Onusko and her husband, George; brother, Frank Selesky and his wife, Ginny; two sisters-in-law, Betty Shirey-Thayer and Janet Lute, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, in Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, in Latrobe First Church of God, 616 Princeton St., with Pastor Mike Bobula officiating. Burial will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The combined funeral detail of local American Legion and VFW members will provide military honors 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff members of Westmoreland Manor and Heartland Hospice for all the wonderful care they rendered to Leo.
