Latrobe Bulletin Thu, May 20, 1993 
Mrs. Helen R. Semanchik, 89, of Latrobe RD (Ridillatown) died Tuesday, May 18,
1993, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born March 26, 1904, in Latrobe, a
daughter of the late Peter Ridilla and Mary Fallat Ridilla. She was a housewife
and a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Bradenville. Besides her
parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Semanchik, in 1962; a
son, Paul Semanchek; four brothers, Peter, Joseph, John and Andrew Ridilla, and
three sisters, Anna Torba, Catherine Daniels and Mary Ridilla. Surviving are a
son, Andrew Semanchek; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Mary) Polochko and Mrs.
Duane (Helen) Pottinger, all of Latrobe; eight grandchildren, and eight great-
grandchildren. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Thursday in Dell-Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe.
Parastas service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Panachida service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home
chapel, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic
Church, Bradenville, with the Rev. Joseph J. Borodach officiating. Burial will
be in St. Mary Byzantine Cemetery, Derry Township.
