Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) 22 Jun 1929
Charles Shawley, aged 60 years, 4 months and 10 days, and H. C. Frick Coke Company
pensioner, died at his home in Whitney, at 4:10 o'clock yesterday afternoon of
complications. He had been of ill health for a long time. Mr. Shawley was a son of
the late William and late Rebecca Shawley of Somerset County. He is survived by his
widow, and two sons, John, at home and Albert, of Youngstown. Seven brothers and
three sisters, all of Somerset county, together with four grandchildren also survive
him. Funeral services will be held at his late home at 2:00 o'clock on Monday
afternoon, in charge of the Rev. Henry Voegtly, pastor of the St. James Lutheran
church, Youngstown. Interment will be made in the cemetery at Youngstown.
