Shearer, 95 E. Harrison Ave., Monday at 3:15 am. Born in Youngstown, September 22, 1881, he was the son of the late Peter and Elizabeth Wiley Shearer. His wife, Mrs. Edna Mae Strickler Shearer, died in 1953. The deceased was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and formerly worked at the Riverside Tool and Die Co., retiring in 1953. He worked for many years as a painter in this area. Surviving are these children: William Henry, Latrobe; Charles David, at home; two grandchildren. Two step-sons also survive: Harry E. Cox, Willoughby, Ohio, and Robert A., Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh. Friends were received at the Hartman Funeral Home, at Latrobe Penna., daily until Thursday at 2 p.m. when services were held in charge of the Rev. John L. Reimer, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment followed in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
