Mrs. Dorothy E. Shepler, of Latrobe died Sunday, April 19, 1998, in Latrobe Area
Hospital. Born Oct. 10, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Karl B. and Anna
Ransel Haberl. She was retired from Torrance State Hospital and was a member of
St. John the Evangelist Church of Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Boyd Shepler, and a daughter, Judith
Ann. Surviving are three sons, Rick, Dennis "Duffy", and Carl Shepler, all of
Latrobe; a brother, Carl Haberl (and his wife, Helen) of Latrobe; four
grandchildren, Rhonda, Mickie, Rocky and Devin; two great-grandchildren, Kelsey
and Shane, and four nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9
p.m. Tuesday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe.
Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will be In
St. Mary Cemetery, Unity Township.
