Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) · 10 Jul 1971, Sat
Mrs. Bertha Marks Shirey, 206 Main St., Youngstown, died at 
9 am Thursday. She was born in Unity Township Dec. 19, 1895, 
the daughter of the late Fred and Sarah McKenna Marks. She 
was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Youngstown. 
Surviving are her husband Hugh K.; a daughter, Mrs. Walter 
(Virginia) Griffin, Latrobe; a son, Robert H., Latrobe; four 
grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends will be 
received at the M. S. Hartman Funeral Home, Latrobe, from 3 
to 5 and 7 to 9 beginning Friday. Funeral services will be 
held at 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will 
follow in Unity Cemetery.
