Beatrice L. Shirey 
Beatrice Louise Shirey, 60, of Youngstown died Tuesday morning in Latrobe Area
Hospital. She was born July 8, 1919, in Unity Township, a daughter of the late
Norman and Elizabeth Arbogast Lentz. She was a member of the Church of God,
Youngstown, and was a former employee of Latrobe Area Hospital. Surviving are 2
sons and 2 daughters, Ted of Austin, Pa., Mrs. Gordon (Nancy) Welsh al Evergreen
Park, Ill., Emery of Mount Airy, Md., and Mrs. Francis Betty ) Barr of
Youngstown; 4 brothers and 1 sister, Oliver Lentz of Latrobe, Harry Lentz of
Jensen Beach, Fla., Norman Lentz, Earl Lentz and Mrs. Leona Fontanesi, all of
Latrobe; 12 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Friends will be received in
Snyder Funeral Home, Route 982 (south of the Route 30 cloverleaf), Latrobe, from
7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held
at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Church of God, Youngstown, with the Revs. Raymond D.
Tustin Jr. and Robert C. Schlotter officiating. Interment will follow in St.
James Cemetery, Youngstown. Family requests contributions be made to the
Diabetes Foundation and the American Heart Association.
