Emory Oscar Shirey, aged 42 years, 5 months and 26 days, died this morning at 3
o'clock, at his home in Youngstown. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice
Shirey; one daughter, Evelyn, at home; and three sons, Everett Shirey, of
Latrobe RFD; and Marion Shirey and Ralph Shirey, at home; also by his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. George W. Shirey, of Youngstown; one sister, Mrs. Albert Shawley,
of Youngstown; and four brothers: Raymond Shirey, of Youngstown; Bert Shirey, of
Whitney, Earl Shirey, of Youngstown, and Roy Shirey, of Connellsville; and three
grandchildren. Funeral service, which will be private, will be held from his
late home in Youngstown, Monday morning at 10 o'clock, in charge of Rev. W. E.
Bauer, former pastor of the St. James Lutheran church, at Youngstown, but now
located at the Harrison City Lutheran church. Interment will follow in the St.
James Lutheran cemetery, at Youngstown.
