William J. Shomo, 84, of Derry, died Oct. 16, 1971. He was born Jan 2, 1887 in
Lockport, Pa., son of Joseph H. and Ada (Milliken) Shomo. Mr. Shomo was a
retired freight conductor for the former Pennsylvania Railroad. Preceded in
death by his wife, the former Nellie Gill, a son Charles and a daughter, Mary,
he is survived by two granddaughters; two brothers, Frank of New Florence and
George of Jeannette and a sister, Mrs. Maude McCollim of Elderton. Funeral
service was held Tuesday, Oct. 19 at the Fisher Funeral Home, Derry. Interment
was in Derry Cemetery.
