He was born Nov. 23, 1919, in Lycippus, a son of the late Metro and Anna Homko Shultis. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Standard Steel, Latrobe. He was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Trauger. He also was a member of American Legion Post 446 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3368, both of Mount Pleasant. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Gladys Goodman Shultis; one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Kathleen) Siko of Latrobe RD 4; two grandchildren; five brothers, Andrew Shultz of Doylestown, Metro Shultz of Old Saybrook, Conn., John Shultz of Pittsburgh, William Shultz of Latrobe RD 1 and Peter Shultz of Southwest, and two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Mary) Puskar of Deltona, Fla., and Mrs. Thomas (Helen) Aultman of Dover, Del. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 3 to S and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in James P. Gaut Funeral Home, Inc. Pleasant Unity. Parastas service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Trauger, with the Rev. Andrew D. Bachkovsky as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Trauger.
