Singer, a local brakeman, was found unconscious on top of a car. He was brought home, and his illness turned into typhoid fever. In a few weeks he was able to be out, but suffered a relapse. During the past few days he had been feeling well, and was about town Monday and early yesterday morning. Shortly before noon, yesterday, he went to the home of Edward Slick, to borrow a gun to go hunting. While holding the gun and some shells, he suddenly placed his hands to his head and complained of a terrible pain in his head. He was assisted to a couch, and soon lost consciousness. He was carried to his home but never rallied, and died at 4:47 yesterday afternoon. Mr. Singer, who has been employed as a brakeman for the past seven years, was single and is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Singer, and the following brothers and sisters: Ralph, Albert and William R., of Derry; Miss Bertha, of Derry, and Robert M. Singer, of Bolivar. He was 25 years and 5 months of age.
