She was aged 85 years, 2 months and 2 days, and was the widow of the late John L. Singer, who died 18 years ago, last July. Mrs. Singer had been in ill health for many months and had been seriously ill for weeks. Gall stones and the frailties incident to her advanced age are given as the cause of her death. Mrs. Singer was born in Stahlstown, Pa., and moved with her husband to Derry over 50 years ago and had spent the years since then as a resident of that place. She leaves to survive her, seven children, as follows: Mrs. Elizabeth Walters, of Social Hall; Mrs. Amanda Marker, of Brushton: Mrs. Minnie Meyers, of New Kensington: Mrs. Alice Lohr, of Wilkinsburg: and John A., James E. and William. all of Derry.
