Slaninko, 71, of Bradenville (Snydertown), died Thursday, Jan. 3, 1985, in Latrobe Area Hospital. Born April 20, 1913, in Elizabeth, Pa., he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Sobota Slaninko. He was a member of St. Rose Church; retired employee of Teledyne Vasco; veteran of World War II, having served with U. S. Army, and a member of American Legion Post 515, American Slovak Society and Susquehanna Sportsmen Association. Surviving are his wife, Catherine Danko Slaninko; one son, Rudy S., of Latrobe; two daughters, Mrs. Regis (Kathleen) Repko of Jeannette and Mrs. Stanley (Jane) Sulkosky of Latrobe; six grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Solick of Latrobe, Mrs. August (Alberta) Oswald of Josephine and Mrs. Betty Belz of Snydertown. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home, Latrobe. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Rose Church with the Rev. Julius Stefurosky as celebrant. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery. Ladies of St. Rose Church and the Rosary Altar Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
