Mrs. Rosa E. Small, 79, of New Florence died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, in Altoona
Hospital. Born Dec. 13, 1920, in Stahlstown, she was a daughter of the late
George and Maude (Stahl) McDermott. A member of Laurel Valley Senior Citizens,
she was a retired employee of Bestform, Johnstown. She also was preceded in
death by her husband, Michael Small, in 1981; brothers, Elmer Wilson and Russell
Wilson, and a sister, Celesta Ruth Smith Fetters. She is survived by three
sisters, Mary Hoffer of Ligonier, Myrtle Trumble of Wyoming and Melinda Stahovic
of Youngstown, and several nieces and nephews and great- and great-great-nieces
and nephews. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kenneth
A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence, where service will be
held 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Allyn K. Giuffre officiating. Interment
will be in Fairfield Cemetery.
