Dennis (Buck) Smalley, 73, of 1171 Swede Hill Road, Greensburg, died Friday in
Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born April 2, 1907, in Hempfield
Township, the son of the late Alpheus and Jenny Taylor Smalley. He was a retired
employee of Gould-Brown Boveri Co. of South Greensburg and was a deputy warden
of the Pennsylvania Game Commission, Ligonier. Surviving are his wife, Anna Jane
Baker Smalley; one son, Bradley D. of New Stanton R D 1; four daughters, Mrs.
Charles (Marian) Anderson of Greensburg R D 1, Mrs. Harvey (Nancy) Roland and
Mrs. Thomas (Lois) Rose, both of Louisville, Ohio and Linda Smalley of
Greensburg RD 3; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Bennett of Latrobe and Mrs. Grace
Berkley of Las Vegas, Nev.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the Robert J. Kepple Funeral Home, 524 N. Main St.,
Greensburg, from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. James V.
D'Amico officiating. Interment will follow in Harrolds Reformed Church Cemetery,
Hempfield Township. Terrence L. Graft is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
