Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) 18 Mar 1910
The services held at the St. James Lutheran Church, Youngstown, yesterday afternoon,
for the late Cyrus Smith, were marked by a big turnout of friends, the funeral
having been one of the largest ever held in the church. The local lodge of the
Knights of Pythias attended the service in a body, while six of the members acted as
pallbearers. The Rev. Dr. Ira M. Wallace, pastor of the St. James Lutheran church,
conducted the services. Interment in the Youngstown cemetery. He is survived by his
widow, Mrs. Jennie Smith and by the following children: Harry, Mary, Paul, Theron
and Bertha. He is survived also by a brother, John A. Smith, of Latrobe, and by
three sisters: Mrs. Charles Mickey, of East Pittsburg; Mrs. G. A. Shirey, of Manito;
and Miss Frances Smith, of Unity township.
