The local lodge of the Knights of Pythias attended the service in a body, while six of the members acted as pallbearers. The Rev. Dr. Ira M. Wallace, pastor of the St. James Lutheran church, conducted the services. Interment in the Youngstown cemetery. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jennie Smith and by the following children: Harry, Mary, Paul, Theron and Bertha. He is survived also by a brother, John A. Smith, of Latrobe, and by three sisters: Mrs. Charles Mickey, of East Pittsburg; Mrs. G. A. Shirey, of Manito; and Miss Frances Smith, of Unity township.
