Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) 3 Oct 1931
Miss Frances Elizabeth Smith died yesterday afternoon at the home of her sister,
Mrs. Laura Shirey, of Youngstown. She had been in ill health for the past several
years, and had undergone several operations at a Pittsburgh hospital during the past
two years. She was born and raised in this vicinity and lived in this vicinity all
her life. She is survived by two sisters and a brother: Mrs. Harriet Mickey of
Pittsburgh; Mrs. Laura Shirey of Youngstown; and John A. Smith of Latrobe. Funeral
services will be held at 2:30 o'clock, Monday afternoon, at the Shirey home, in
charge of the Rev. John B. Gardner, assisted by the Rev. Henry Voegtly. Six nephews,
William, Harry, Paul A., Theron, Wilbur and Clarence Shirey will be pall bearers.
Interment will be made in the Youngstown cemetery.
