Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) 27 Feb 1954
Mrs. Jennie P Smith, aged 85 years, who made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Bertha
Lawson, Ligonier St., died at 5:25 this morning at Latrobe Hospital. Mrs. Smith had
been active until a month ago when she suffered a broken hip and was hospitalized.
Her husband, Cyrus W. Smith, preceded her in death in 1910. She has been a life-long
resident of Latrobe and vicinity. The following children survive: Harry E. Smith,
San Fernando, Calif.; Mrs. John (Mary) Huffman, New Kensington; Paul and Theron C.
Smith, Latrobe; Mrs. Leroy (Bertha) Lawson, Latrobe; fourteen grandchildren and
eight grandchildren survive. Friends are being received at Stader Funeral Home until
1:30 Monday when the body will be removed to St. James Lutheran Church, Youngstown,
for funeral services at 3:30 pm. Rev. Bruce Shaffer will officiate. Interment will
be in Youngstown Cemetery.
