Theron C. Smith, 84, of 731 Fairmont St., Latrobe, died Thursday morning in
Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born in Unity Township Jan. 31, 1897, a son of the
late Cyrus W. and Jennie Albert Smith. A member of the Trinity Evangelical
Lutheran Church of Latrobe, he was a former owner and operator of the Theron C.
Smith Chevrolet Agency in Latrobe. He is survived by his widow, Alma Cole Smith,
and one sister, Mrs. Leroy (Bertha) Lawson of Raleigh, N.C. He was preceded in
death by his first wife, Margaret Smith, in October, 1974, and one brother and
one sister. Family will receive friends. from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 3 to S
and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in M.S. Hartman Funeral Home, Latrobe. Funeral services
will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev.
Donald McCoid officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park,
Delmont.
