Mrs. Donna R. Smith, 79, of Latrobe died Friday, June 14, 1996, in Latrobe Area
Hospital. Born Aug. 4, 1916, in Greensburg, she was a daughter of the late
Lehman Hauger and Hermie H. Lash Hauger. A graduate of Leonardo High School in
New Jersey and a retired Montgomery Ward, Greensburg, salesperson, she was a
member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Unity Township. Besides her parents,
she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Smith, July 1, 1993; a
granddaughter, Brenda Marie Smith; a half sister, Mabel G. Reimer, and a
brother, Lehman M. "Mac" Hauger. Surviving are a son, Paul D. Smith Sr. of Derry
Township; three grandsons, Paul D. Smith Jr., Sgt. William J. Smith and Scott M.
Smith; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John (Vivian) Cusick of
Laurel, Md., and Mrs. James (Lois) Geary of Floral City, Fla., and a brother,
retired Lt. Col. Ernest E. Hauger of Winterport, Maine. Calling hours are 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Dell-Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St.,
Latrobe. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with
the Rev. William E. Ordelt Jr., her pastor, in charge. Burial will be in Unity
Cemetery, Unity Township.
