Latrobe Bulletin Tue, May 17, 1955
A retired miner, George Franklin Smith, 81, died at his home in Greensburg R. D.
5, near the Mountain View Hotel at 8 p.m. Sunday. Surviving are his Widow, Mrs.
Elizabeth (Lillian) Smith; a son, Charles J., Greensburg; a daughter, Mrs.
Elizabeth Schultz, Forest Hills; a brother, Watson S., Greensburg R. D. 5; four
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The deceased was a member of the
United Mine Workers of America. Friends are being received at the Seeman Funeral
Home in Greensburg where services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday by
Rev. Clyde Cotton, followed by interment in St. Clair Cemetery.
