Franklin A. Stanko, 65, of Latrobe died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1993, in Latrobe Area
Hospital. He was born Feb. 29, 1928, in Latrobe, a son of the late Stephen and
Mary (Zuzack) Stanko. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church of
Latrobe and owner and president of Stanko Products Inc./Dens-A-Can International
of Greensburg. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 940, 4th
degree of Latrobe, Frontier Club and Kingston Veteran's and Sportsman's
Association and honorary member of Lloydsville Sportsman's Association.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Frances M. Katonka Stanko; two sons, Gregory
A. of Derry and Jeffrey T. of Greensburg; three daughters, Mrs. John (Kathy)
Pender of Jamison, Mrs. Dennis (Cheryl) Rollins of Duran, N. C., and Lisa
Zomisky of Rochester, N. Y.; three brothers, Stephen of Latrobe, Waiter, of
California and Timothy of Bethel Park; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Martha) Pernelli of
Latrobe, and nine grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.
Thursday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home
Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Saturday in St. John the Evangelist Church, Latrobe, with the Rev. Thomas M.
Lukac as celebrant. Entombment will be in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. Knights
of Columbus Council 940 will hold a service at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral
home. St. John Rosary Altar Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 7:30
p.m. Friday In the funeral home.
