Frances M. Stanko, 86, of Latrobe, owner and president of Stanko Products Inc.,
Greensburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Loyalhanna Care
Center, Latrobe. Born Sept. 13, 1929, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of the late
Frank Katonka Sr. and Mary (Kerila) Katonka. Frances was a member of St. John
the Evangelist Church, Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her husband, Franklin A. Stanko; a daughter, Lisa F. Stanko; one
brother, Frank Katonka Jr.; and three sisters, Marie Tonin, Rose Mary Stoner and
Margaret Franklin. Frances is survived by her four children, Gregory A. Stanko
and his wife, Kelly, of Derry, Kathleen M. Pender and her husband, John, of
Jamison, Jeffrey T. Stanko and his wife, Tamra, of Greensburg, Cheryl A. Rollins
and her husband, Dennis, of Alabaster, Ala.; one brother, Thomas Katonka and his
wife, Maryann, of Greensburg; 10 grandchildren, Brandon Stanko and his wife,
Kelly Karstaedt, BreeAnna Stanko Gilbert and her husband, Robert, Brooke Stanko,
Stefanie Pender, John F. Pender, Jarret Stanko, Kevin Stanko, Daniel Rollins,
Nathan Rollins and Joseph Rollins; and she is also survived by a number of
nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday
at the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral
Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Church
with the Rev. Anthony Carbone as celebrant. Interment will follow at Greensburg
Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial
contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
