K. Stauffer, following a week's illness. She was 66 years of age. Mrs. Stauffer had resided in Latrobe for many years, having moved here following the death of her husband, and had occupied the Fairmont Street residence since that time. She had always been keenly interested in church, civic and social and lodge work and for many years did active work along these lines. A member of Christ Reformed church she also held memberships in the Missionary Society, the Dorcas Circle, Excelsior Bible Class and the Co-operative Committee. For many years she also served as superintendent of the Home Department. Aiding in numerous civic and welfare activities she also was a fraternalist, having been a charter member of Olive Grove No. 1. Woodmen Circle and held membership in that society since its inception in 1896, having been one of the first officers elected to serve the local grove. She was also a member of the Annie Rebekah Lodge No. 134, for many years, and held membership in the Past Grand's Association as well. Mrs. Stauffer had been guardian of the Woodmen Circle for 12 years. Mrs. Stauffer is survived by one son, Paul Stauffer, of Greensburg, supervising principal of the Hempfield Township schools, and one step-daughter, Mrs. T. R. Nicely of Gettysburg. Six granddaughters and one grandson as well as one sister, Miss Rachel Alcorn, of Greensburg, also survive. Sunset funeral services will he held tomorrow evening at 6 o'clock in Christ Reformed church in charge of Rev. H. W. Black. Mrs. Stauffer's body will be taken to the church at five o'clock where it will lie in state until six o'clock and may he viewed there by friends before the services. Interment will follow in Unity cemetery. The Woodmen Circle will conduct its ritualistic service at the Stauffer home this evening at 8o'clock, while the Rebekahs will conduct their service at 8:30 o'clock this evening. Twelve years ago, Decoration Day, Miss Alzine Stauffer, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Stauffer died of an attack of diphtheria and was buried at a sunset interment on the following day.
