She was stricken Wednesday and removed to the hospital where an operation was found inadvisable on account of her weakened condition. She was the widow of Henry Stein, who died about 12 years ago. Mrs Stein continued to live in Latrobe until about three years ago when she went to Derry to make her home with her daughter, Mrs V. C. Werner. Later she lived with a daughter in Seattle, Washington, and recently had been keeping house for friends in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Stein was aged 63 years, 11 months and 2 days. She is survived by two sons: Hummel Stein and Augustus Dunlap, and by five daughters: Mrs. Peter Wurm, of Nanty Glo; Mrs. Edward Goodman, of Edward. Washington; Mrs. George Apple, of Jeannette; Mrs. Victor Werner, of Derry; and Mrs. James McIndoe of Pitcairn. A sister and 18 grandchildren also survive. The funeral services will be held at the Werner home, in Derry, at 2:30 Monday afternoon, followed by interment in Unity Cemetery.
