Mrs. Genevieve P. Strumsky, 72, of Acme RD 1, died Friday, Jan. 4, 1985, in
Latrobe, Area Hospital. She was born Dec. 31, 1912, in Kecksburg, a daughter of
the late Joseph Domer and Minnie Buzza Porch. She was a member of the Mount
Pleasant Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her husband, Joseph, in 1969; one sister, Mrs. Beatrice Mann; and one brother,
Ronald J. Porch. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William (Jenny) Shearer
of Latrobe RD 3; one son, Mark of Acme RD 1; four grandchildren; two brothers,
Millard B. Porch of Saltsburg and Leon C. Porch of Florida, and one sister, Mrs.
James (Lois) Scott of St. Marys, Ohio. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.
Saturday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home,
Norvelt. Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev.
Larry G. White officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mount
Pleasant Township.
