Tarr, died Sunday, 23 August 1942, morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Apple, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brinker, of the Brinkerton Road, Greensburg, following a lingering illness. She was 88 years, nine months and eighteen days old. Surviving are the following children: Joseph Tarr of Coaldale; Mrs. Sherman Neighley of Melton, W. Va.; and Mrs. Mary Apple with whom she made her home. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Adam Smith. She was a member of the Mount Lebanon Methodist church of Tarr. She resided in the Tarr community her entire life until 10 years ago when she came to Greensburg. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon in the Mt. Lebanon Methodist church at Tarr with Rev. G. G. Gallagher, pastor of the South Greensburg Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be made in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery at Tarr.
