Uncle Jessie, as they call him, went out about half-past six o'clock in the morning, as was his custom, to cut some corn with which to feed the pigs. He being in the habit of going off to town sometimes without saying anything about it, they thought nothing of his prolonged absence until about dinner time, when some of the family began to inquire as to his whereabouts, and finding his coat and cane in their usual place, they immediately instituted search with the foregoing result. The old gentlemen has three grown up and married children, one son and two daughters, and had returned but a few days since from a visit to his daughters at Shafton, where the body of the father was taken today for burial. Coroner Clingan was notified but did not hold an inquest. The canoe of death is supposed to be from paralysis, he having had a stroke some years ago. -Daily Oct. 4 File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/pa/westmoreland/obits/t/taylor22180gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/pafiles/ File size: 1.8 Kb
