James H. Taylor, 81, of Latrobe, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, in Loyalhanna Care
Center. He was born May 23, 1924, in Pleasant Unity, a son of the late Thomas and
Elizabeth Breth Taylor. Prior to retirement after 35 years of service, he was
employed as a teacher in the Boswell, Blairsville, Greensburg Salem, and Greater
Latrobe School Districts. He was a member of the Latrobe Congregation of Jehovah's
Witnesses. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Andrew
Williams; five brothers, Herald J., Clair, Jennings C., Albert I., and Edwin D.
Taylor; and a sister, Genevieve Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Marie A. Mazon
Taylor; two daughters, Lori L. Taylor Mazzoni and her husband, Frank, of Bradenville
and Lynn Marie Williams and her husband, Jack, of Marietta, Ohio; a brother, Thomas
E. Taylor and his wife, June, of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Flora Mae Perry, of
Pleasant Unity; stepgrandson, Jack Williams Jr. and his wife, Carla, of Norfolk,
Va.; and two stepgreat-grandsons, Laken and Darin Williams, both of Norfolk, Va.
There will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday
at Latrobe Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses with Randy Laughry officiating.
Interment will be private.
