 Presbyterian banner. (Pittsburgh, Pa.): April 13, 1864
Died April 1st, at the residence of Wm. Boyd, in South Huntington Twp., Westmoreland
county, Pa., Willie R. Teggart, aged 2 years, 1 month and 7 days. The deceased was
the only child of James F. and Eleanor Teggart, who lived in Washington Twp.,
Fayette County, Pa. Willie's father and mother bad both gone before him to the
silent tomb. His mother died when he was a few hours old, and his father about three
months ago. November 18th, 1862, he was adopted into the family of Mr. Wm. Boyd,
where he lived till death took him to the bosom of Jesus. He was an interesting.
intelligent, and lovely little boy the idol of the family that adopted him. But God
has laid his little body beneath the sod, and taken his spirit home…
