Wayne R. Thomas, 58, of Mill Road, Waterford, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 1986, at
his home. Born Jan. 1, 1928, in Boswell, he was a son of Menno Thomas of
Johnstown and the late Florence Boyer Thomas. He was a member of the Heritage
United Methodist Church of Ligonier. He was a World War II veteran, having
served with the Air Force, and was a member of the VFW of Robinson. He had been
employed as a stable manager for Rolling Rock Farms. In addition to his mother,
he was preceded in death by one brother, Warren. In addition to his father, he
is survived by his wife, Madelyn Hanna Thomas; one daughter, Mrs. Richard
(Hollie) Hood of Greensburg; one brother, Wade L. of Thomas Mills, and two
grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in
Wolford-McCracken Funeral Home Inc., Ligonier. Funeral service will be held at
11 a.m. Tuesday in Heritage United Methodist Church, Ligonier.
