Chambersburg, Public Opinion Wed, Mar 27, 1963
Roy B. Tosh Sr., of R. R. 1, Fayetteville, died at 11 o'clock yesterday morning
at the Chambersburg Hospital. He had been ill since suffering a heart attack on
March 15. He was born Sept. 20, 1902, in Ligonier Township, Westmoreland County,
a son of the late Frank and Bertha Hopkins Tosh. He was a member of St. John's
United Church of Christ. Mr. Tosh was engaged in the auto body repair and
service in Chambersburg for 20 years and from 1950 to 1955 he operated the
Lincoln-Mercury Agency in Chambersburg. He sold his business in 1955 and
retired.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jessie Ramsey Tosh: a son, Roy B. Tosh Jr., R. R.
3, Fayetteville; a daughter, Mrs. Paul H. Adams, Hyattsville, Md.; five
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a brother, Donald W. Tosh, Ligonier.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Sellers funeral home,
in charge of the Rev. Lamar T. J. Bender. Burial will be made in Norland
Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening
from 7 to 9 o'clock.
