Tretchick, 54, formerly of Avonmore, died Thursday, July 25, 1991, at his home in Alburtis of a heart attack. A son of the late Andrew and Margaret Hunter Tretchick, he was born on June 9, 1937, in Avonmore. He had lived in eastern Pennsylvania for the past 30 years. A 1958 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania State University in 1961, he had been a teacher in the North Hills School District from 1958 to 1961. He had taught industrial arts at Upper Darby School District for the past 30 years, where he was the chief negotiator of the teachers' union. Mr. Tretchick was also owner-operator of Printer Printing in Alburtis for the past 15 years besides being an inventor with a number of patents. He got enjoyment from playing the pipe organ. His survivors include: a brother, Paul Tretchick, Albany, Ga.; and four sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Keck, Gibsonia, Mrs. Ilene Grayson, Charlotte, N.C., Ms. Rachel Tretchick, Washington, D.C., and Judy Steele of Mars. A graveside service was held Monday, July 29, at Westview Cemetery, Avonmore. Arrangements were made by the Curran Funeral Home, Inc., Apollo.
