Van C. Vachal Jr., 20, of Latrobe, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 1995, in Presbyterian
University Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was born March 16, 1975, in Latrobe, a son
of Van C. and Cheryl (Guzik) Vachal of Latrobe. He was a member of St. John the
Evangelist Church, a 1992 graduate of Greensburg Central Catholic High School
and was in his junior year at Robert Morris College of Pittsburgh. He was a
member of Robert Morris bowling team and the Shutdown Bowling League of Latrobe.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Orland and Ruth Virgill. In
addition to his parents, surviving are his maternal grandparents, Stanley and
Marie Guzik of Latrobe. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral
mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Thomas M. Lukac as celebrant
in St. John the Evangelist Church, Latrobe. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery,
Unity Township.
