Harold M. Weed, 66, of Main Street, New Alexandria, died June 17, 1981, in
Latrobe Ares Hospital. He was born July 4, 1914, in Sinnamahoning, a son of the
late Charles L. and Elizabeth Smitt Weed. He was a machinist with Mesta Machine
Corp. in Homestead for 33 years and retired in 1973 and was a member of the
First United Methodist Church of New Alexandria. He was predeceased by his wife,
Violet Hershberger Weed, in April 1977. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs.
Lawson (Virginia) Bowers and Mrs. Brenda Lee Kramer, both of New Alexandria, two
sons, Earl L. of Latrobe and Charles L. of New Alexandria; 10 grandchildren, one
great-grandson, and one sister, Mrs. Doris Silvis of Chicago, Ill. Friends will
be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in M.
Wallace Felton Funeral Home, New Alexandria, where services will be held at 2
p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Charles L. Shaffer officiating. Interment will
follow in New Alexandria Union Cemetery. Clayton E. Linsley in charge.
