Thaddeus Wenskowski Obituary
Thaddeus R. "Teddy" Wenskowski, 89, of East Vandergrift, passed away Saturday,
May 5, 2018, at Pleasant Ridge Personal Care Home, Leechburg. Born July 5, 1928,
in East Vandergrift, he was a son of the late Charles and Cecelia (Taranowski)
Wenskowski. Teddy lived in East Vandergrift all of his life, and proudly served
our country in the Army Signal Corps. He worked in the shipping department of
PPG Industries in Ford City. Teddy's memberships included Our Lady Queen Of
Peace Catholic Church and the Slovak Club in East Vandergrift, as well as the
VFW Post 566 in Vandergrift. He was an avid dancer, and was an instructor at the
Arthur Murray Dance Studio. In addition to his parents, Teddy was preceded in
death by his sisters, Steffie Walkowiak, Lucille Groholski and Jennie Bilik;
brothers, Chester Wenckowski and Casimir Wenskowski. He is survived by his
sister, Mary Skwirut, of Vandergrift; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces
and grandnephews.
Friends will be received from 8 a.m. until parting prayers at 9:30 a.m.
Wednesday, May 9, 2018, in the BRADY-CURRAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES,
429 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at
10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady Queen Of Peace, East Vandergrift, with Father
Michael Sciberras as celebrant. Private entombment will be in Greenwood Memorial
Park Mausoleum, Lower Burrell, at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Our
Lady Queen Of Peace Catholic Church, 400 Kennedy Ave., East Vandergrift, PA
15629.
