Caroline Marie Wenskowski, 82, of Oklahoma Borough, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009,
in Harmar Village Care Center, Cheswick. She was born Nov. 2, 1926, in Kiski
Township, a daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie (White) Hoffman. She lived in
Kiski Township for the past 35 years. She was a home care aide and a waitress at
Welcome Inn, Lower Burrell. She retired in 1994. She was a member of St. James
Roman Catholic Church, Apollo, and was a former member of the Oklahoma Fire
Department Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her husband, Casimer Wenskowski Sr., in 1966; a son, Thomas Wenskowski;
and infant daughter, Nancy Wenskowski; and two brothers, Loyal and Stanley
Hoffman. She is survived by two sons, Richard Wenskowski, of Apollo, and Casimer
Wenskowski Jr., of Penn Hills; two daughters, Carol (Richard) Olexsak, of
Butler, and Rachel Crofutt, of West Vandergrift; three grandchildren, Christine
Wagner, of Baden, Richard Wenskowski Jr., of Apollo, and Justina Crofutt, of
West Vandergrift; two great-grandchildren, Dustin Wagner and Kasey Wagner, both
of Baden; and a brother, Dale (Martha) Hoffman, of Washington Township.
Visitation will be held from noon until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m.
Friday in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View
Ave., Apollo, PA 15613. Burial will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Vandergrift.
