Latrobe Bulletin Sat, Aug 24, 1957
Mrs. Ruth Ross Wilkins, Acme R. D. 1, died at 1:30 a.m. Friday in the Frick
Memorial Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was 52 years old. She is survived by her
husband, David S. Wilkins, and the following children: Mrs. Betty Smith,
Hopewell, Va.; Sgt. Robert V. Ross, with the U.S. Army in Germany; and Frank M.
Ross, Acme R. D. 1. Also surviving are the following step-children: Mrs. June
Kantorik, Acme R. D.; Mrs. Emma Jean Stairs, Acme; Mrs. Evelyn Orczyk, New
Kensington; Mrs., Dorothy Mayes, Mt. Pleasant R. D. 2; Mrs. Mildred Hull,
Lorain, O.; Mrs. Hazel Ross, Acme R. D. 1; Roy Wilkins, Hopewell, Va.; and Allen
and Lee, at home. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and the following brothers
and sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, Lewistown; Walter Hess, Everett; Mrs. Nancy
Schwartz, Altoona; Mrs. Erma Chriswell, Williamsburg, and Samuel Hess,
McConnellstown. Friends will be received at her late home. Services will be held
at 1:15 pm Monday with a short prayer at the home, followed by services at 2
o'clock at the Fairview Church of God with the Rev. A. H. K. Hoshauer
officiating, assisted by the Rev. I. Clyde May. Interment will be in Fairview
Cemetery near Kecksburg.
