Mrs. Helen Faye Wingard, 79, of Monroeville died Saturday, Oct. 12. 2002, in Alterra
Sterling House, Penn Hills. She was born June 8, 1923, in Derry, the daughter of the
late Milo Nevin and Mary Olive (Hughes) Gontz. and sister of the late Robert M.
Gontz. A registered nurse, she had graduated from the Allegheny General Hospital
School of Nursing. She is survived by her husband, J. Edward Wingard; her daughter,
Marsha Hall and husband, Clark, of Mechanicsburg and her grandson, David E. Hall of
Mechanicsburg. A funeral service will be held noon Tuesday in McCabe Funeral Home,
300 W. Third Ave., Derry, with the Rev. David D. Wilson Jr. officiating. There will
be visitation in the funeral home one hour before the service. Burial will be in
Coles Cemetery, Derry Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be
made to the Hospice of Greater Pittsburgh, 3520 Route 130, Suite 3001, Irwin, PA
15642.
