Louis W. Young, 86, of Somers Point, died Sunday at Shore Memorial Hospital in
Somers Point. Mr. Young owned and operated Young's Flower Shop and Greenhouse in
Latrobe, Pa., for more than 45 years, and was more recently president of Floral
Events in Linwood. He was an avid gardener. Born in Latrobe, Mr. Young lived in
Somers Point for the last 20 years. Surviving are one son, Bob Young, with whom he
worked; one daughter, Aletha J. Young, with whom he lived; one brother, Frederick G.
of Latrobe, Pa.; and one sister, Miriam Yanik of Chicago. Services will be held 8
p.m. Tuesday at the Jeffries & Keates Funeral Home, Tilton Road and Infield Avenue,
Northfield. Burial will be Thursday in Bethel Cemetery, Cook Township, Pa. Friends
may call Tuesday from 7to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, or Wednesday evening at the
John J. Lopatich Funeral Home, 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe, Pa. Final services will
be held Thursday.
