Joseph Zabkar Sr., aged 68 years, six months and two days died at his home near
Baggaley at 9:05 a.m. today following an illness of two sad one half years. He
is survived by his widow, Mrs. Agnes Zabkar and the following children: Joseph
Jr., California; Anthony, of Dorothy; John, of Latrobe R.D. 4; Frank, of
Latrobe, R.D.4; James, of Detroit, Mich.; Louis, of Greensburg R.D. 5; Stephen,
of Latrobe R.D. 4; and William, Marie. Victor, Betty and Edward all at home.
Three brothers also survive: Martin Zabkar, of Mt. Pleasant; Frank Zabkar, of
Detroit, Mich; and Anthony Zabkar, of Yugoslavia. Mr. Zabkar, a miner last
employed at the Hostetter mine of the Jamison Coal Company, was a member of the
Sacred Heart Church, Youngstown. Friends will be received at his late home
tomorrow evening. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
