Robert (Bob) Zabkar, 44, of 26 S. Pine St., Dover, N.H., died June 14 in
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital following an unexpected illness suffered at work. A
native of Latrobe, he lived in Dover for the past 10 years. He was an A man at
General Electric Co. in Somersworth, N.H., and was a retired technical sergeant
in the U.S. Air Force, having served for more than 20 years. He was a member and
past president of the General Electric Employees Association and a member of St.
Joseph Catholic Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alice Elaine Marcotte
Zabkar; four sons: Robert, Clifford, Brian and Michael, and one daughter, Cheryl
Ann, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Barbara Zabkar Lentz; one sister, Mrs.
William (Nancy Jane) Bisi; one half-sister, Joyce Trice (Florida), and maternal
grandfather, John Thomas Sr., all of Latrobe. Mass of Christian Burial was
conducted Monday morning in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment followed in
St. Mary New Cemetery with full military rites by members of the U.S. Air Force
stationed at Peace Air Force Base, Dover.
